After more than 20 years specifically auditing customs entries by hand, set against a 45-year career across supply chain, freight audit, and customs declarations, our founder Dominic McGough noticed a recurring pattern: importers were overpaying duty, misclassifying goods, and failing post-clearance audits, not because they lacked expertise, but because no tool existed to audit declarations at scale.
Manual reviews took weeks and cost thousands of pounds per engagement. Most businesses simply accepted the risk. The gap between what brokers filed and what the declarations actually contained was, in most cases, invisible until HMRC or CBP came knocking.
