What MCI audits for Nordic importers

The same platform, the same audit methodology, adapted for Nordic customs systems and regulatory requirements.

Declaration Reconciliation

Full reconciliation of customs declarations against commercial invoices, transport documents and certificates of origin. Every commodity code, customs value and preference claim verified against source documents.

CBAM Compliance

CBAM reporting for Denmark, Sweden and Finland (EU member states). For Norway, CBAM obligations apply through the EEA agreement. We identify entries in scope and prepare the data. Your declarant submits.

Duty Recovery

Returned Goods Relief, Customs Drawback, repayment applications and preference claims. Recovery routes follow UCC framework for EU members and national legislation for Norway.

Multi-Jurisdiction Coverage

Nordic importers often trade with the UK, EU and US simultaneously. MCI audits declarations across all jurisdictions under a single EORI, covering CDS (UK), AES (EU) and ACE (US) in one dashboard.

How MCI works alongside your customs agent

Clear division of responsibility. We audit the data. Your customs representative handles the corrective filings.

1

We audit

MCI analyses your declaration data across six sources. Piers AI flags non-compliant entries, calculates exposure and prepares correction-ready documentation.

2

Agent reviews

Your customs representative receives the MCI output, reviews findings, validates proposed corrections and determines the filing strategy.

3

Agent files

The customs representative files the correction, repayment application or RGR claim with the relevant national customs authority. MCI never touches regulated filing activity.

Investment that pays for itself

Nordic importers typically discover 2–4× their annual subscription value in overpaid duties, misclassified entries and unclaimed preferences through the first audit cycle.

If you process 400+ declarations a year, the first audit cycle likely pays for the subscription.
